Navdeep Saini is an Indian cricketer who has represented the senior national men’s team in both limited-overs formats (ODIs, T20Is) after a string of robust performances for Delhi in the domestic circuit. Picked primarily as a pace bowler for India in late 2019, he has scored handy runs from the tail-end of the batting order as well to emerge as a valuable member of the Indian squad. Navdeep has also represented the Delhi Daredevils (now-defunct) and Royal Challengers Bangalore franchises in the IPL (Indian Premier League).

  • He was the leading wicket-taker for Delhi in the 2017-18 season of the Ranji Trophy (first-class domestic tournament), capturing 34 wickets in just 8 games.
  • He also led the wicket-taking charts for Delhi in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy (domestic one-day tournament), picking 16 wickets in 8 matches.
  • He picked up his first ‘Man-of-the-Match’ award in his very first international game for India, on August 3, 2019, against the West Indies. He picked the wickets of Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, and Kieron Pollard in his 4-over spell and achieved the rare feat of bowling a maiden over (no runs conceded) in the last over of the innings.
