Unused Selena Gomez Tickets Are Hard to Forget

Although Selena Gomez is one of pop music’s brightest young stars, the 22-year-old star has a bt of a track record when it comes to disappointing her loving fans. In 2013, Gomez announced that, due to personal reasons, she would be cancelling the Australian and Asian legs of her Stars Dance Tour. Fans who had already purchased tickets immediately became outraged.  A source close to Gomez stated that “She doesn’t like to say no, but she just reached a point where she needs a minute. She is not having a breakdown;” however, fans couldn’t help but feel like their favorite artist had let them down. In the year since Gomez’ big announcements, fans have still struggled to get over the abrupt cancellations that left them without a chance to see Gomez perform.  Here are tweets from fans who were never able to use their Selena Gomez tickets.

2013 was just not a good year for anyone who had purchased Selena Gomez tickets. After the cancellation of her shows in Australia, Gomez announced that she would also be cancelling her appearances in the Philippines due to her ongoing battle with the autoimmune disease, lupus.

While fans have speculated that the real reason behind Gomez’ cancellation was poor ticket sales, her official reason is still that she needed to take time to herself and tend to her illness.
